I have been an orchestral conductor for over 40 years, and now live in the Canary Islands of Spain. I am married to Vaike, a professional 'cellist with the Tenerife Symphony, and have two daughters, aged 11 and 10 years who keep me busy ( and young!)
I was fortunate to study with Sir John Barbirolli and Georges Tzipine, and have a wide ranging interest in orchestral music, from Baroque to modern. I have been lucky to work with some of the must talented musicians iof the past, including Yehudi Menuhin, Victoria de los Angeles, and Luciano Pavarotti, who were very inspirational.
When not on tour, I spend my time editing the early works of Haydn and Beethoven, and arranging for chamber orchestra, and count myself lucky to be in a profession which I enjoy so much.
